Louis Murphy to visit Bengals after Bucs trip

The Buccaneers have been doing free agent business like no team in the league, but they couldn’t keep their latest target in the building.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, free agent wideout Louis Murphy is scheduled to visit the Bengals tomorrow after a two-day trip to Tampa Bay.

Murphy has made enough stops to offically qualify as a journeyman receiver, and spent time in Oakland with new Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson.

The Bengals are deep at the position, but need some reinforcement after losing slot man Andrew Hawkins to the Browns.

This guy is really close to being done in the NFL. And to think, he had a pretty solid rookie season with the Raiders.

Sign a REAL #2 wide receiver.

Stop messing around with these mediocre, inconsistent #3 wide receivers.

Marvin Jones needs to develop at the #3 spot because he cannot be depended upon at the #2 spot.

In 27 games…. Marvin Jones has 2 receptions OR LESS in 14 games. That is NOT a great #2 wide receiver.

Good riddance to this dude.. he didn’t run the correct route all year for the giants.. he was directly responsible for at least 3-4 of Eli’s plethora of picks
