Charles Woodson and the Oakland Raiders enjoyed their return engagement so much in 2013 that they’ve elected to re-up for another season.

According to Josina Anderson of ESPN.com, Woodson and the Raiders have agreed to terms on a one-year deal to keep the versatile defensive back in the Bay Area.

Woodson re-signed with Oakland last year after seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers. Woodson started all 16 games for Oakland and compiled 97 tackles, three forced fumbles, two sacks and an interception.

Woodson said he would consider retirement if he couldn’t find a deal that was to his liking in free agency. Instead, he’ll get the chance to continue his career with the franchise that drafted him in 1998.
