Mark Dominik signs on with ESPN

Tony Gonzalez won’t be the only person making the move from the NFC South to the television studio this year.

Former Buccaneers General Manager Mark Dominik will be joining ESPN as a front office insider for the 2014 season. He’ll be featured across the ESPN galaxy of shows on television and radio in order to give what ESPN senior coordinating producer for NFL studio shows Seth Markman describes as his inside perspective on the front office machinations around the league.

“Mark has almost two decades of experience moving up the ranks in an NFL organization, so he’s well-versed in scouting, free agency, player development and so many of the issues we delve into each day on ‘NFL Insiders,” Markman said. “He adds another credible voice to our team and will make us even better.”

Dominik served as the general manager in Tampa from 2009 until he was fired after the 2013 season and replaced by Jason Licht.

He can’t do any worse at that than he did in his old job.

This is good. He can give his opinions on what he thinks are good moves that teams made and we’ll know that they are bad moves.

What’s better than being a GM of an NFL team? Getting paid to be the GM for all the teams and not being fired for being wrong!

At least he’s not as fat as Lombardi.

Dominick will be a star on ESPN. The guy is very well spoken and likable. He just wasn’t a good GM.
