Those madcap Panthers are on a roll now.

After sitting out the first week of free agency, other than watching their own guys leave, they’re starting to make moves.

According to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, Bucs wideout Tiquan Underwood is visiting the Panthers today.

Underwood has always flashed potential, but without his Rutgers patron Greg Schiano in Tampa Bay, there wasn’t much demand for him.

Carolina would be a place to shine, as just-signed Jerricho Cotchery is the only veteran receiver of note.

They’ve also shown interest in Falcons fringe-player Kevin Cone, as they try to fill out a depth chart that had five NFL receptions after the release of Steve Smith and the departures of Brandon LaFell, Ted Ginn and Domenik Hixon.
