Britt will plan his next move over the weekend

Titans Colts Football AP

Free-agent receiver Kenny Britt has now visited four teams.  Two others have interest.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Britt and his agents will consider the various opportunities and decide on a next move over the weekend.

That could include visits to the Seahawks and/or Panthers, both of which are interested in Britt.  It could entail a second visit to the Rams, Patriots, Redskins, and/or Bills.

Quite possibly, it could result in a decision to sign a contract.

Regardless, the man who became forgotten in Tennessee suddenly is one of the hottest remaining free agents, thanks to a fast market at receiver that has left few options for teams looking for veterans.

This is a nice change of pace for him. Usually this time of year he is having run-ins with various law enforcment agencies in New Jersey.

Pass. . .Would rather have the Hawks draft Kelvin Benjamin if possible.

I don’t think he’s viewed as ‘worth the headache’ in Carolina. They called Steve Smith a distraction, God knows what they’d call Kenny…

Please no more injured veteran free agent WRs for the Seahawks. There are a ton of good young receivers available in the draft.

Seems like my fellow Panthers fans would rather Cam throw to David Gettleman than Kenny Britt.

I hope Britt sign with Carolina or Seattle. He’s an upgrade for the Panthers and gives Seattle a homerun threat.

Doesn’t he have knees that resemble an 80 year old woman’s after jumping off a roof?

This guy is a slug. Shame too b/c he’s quite a talent.

Kenny has no heart. He quit on the team that desperately wanted him to be the no.1 guy.

If his one-time advocate Jeff Fisher doesn’t lock him in, you KNOW to stay away …

If he and CJ had played up to half their potential they’d both be getting paid and wouldn’t have to move.

One year deal with NE to rehab his image with passes from Mr Brady then cash in next year in free agency

  12. ampats says: Mar 21, 2014 3:57 PM

Britt should go to Rutgers North and sign a minimum veteran one year prove it deal catching balls from Tom Brady.

The guy has an opportunity to play with a Hall of Famer and a All Time Great as Brady how can you pass on that ?

For a vet’s minimum, one year contract, I’d take a chance on him. Talent ALWAYS gets a second (or third) chance in pro sports. And if he turns out to be a headache (again), you just cut him. No big loss.

As a Panthers fan, I don’t want Britt on my team. He’s too much of a diva and a distraction.

Funny, everybody seems like going to NE is the best thing for him. I’m surprised NE is even interested after the Chad Johnson debacle. Chad at least had heart and a willingness to play the game and (to a point) stay out of trouble. The only thing Britt has to offer is talent, and he hasn’t even capitalized on that yet. I say, yes, NE sign Kenny Britt. Continue to expose the fraud that is “the Genius”.

That’s because you think Gettleman is a god. I’m convinced he’s set the team back. Only one of us is right.

I tire kicker contract with minimal guarantees seems appropriate. That way of he easy to turf.

  20. lanman11 says: Mar 21, 2014 6:37 PM

If he worked and studied hard, and he stayed out of trouble, and he shopwed up mentally and emotionally ready to contribute each and every day, I could see Brady dropping 70 balls in his hands and hanging a thousand yard season in the books. That will rehab the rep in no time.

Go to NE! Its a win..win U and the team

  23. rascalmanny says: Mar 21, 2014 8:38 PM

He stunk it up during his contract year. Teams watch tape. He couldn’t catch with super glue on his hands.

  24. hawkyeah says: Mar 22, 2014 4:11 PM

I’d take him to the Hawks on a one year prove-it deal. He’s got the size PC likes.

  25. baddegg says: Mar 24, 2014 12:25 PM

Why are so many teams chasing this guy, though he is far from “proven.” He is gonna get overpaid I believe…

  26. zachebers says: Mar 25, 2014 10:23 AM

No Britt for Rams, only one player out there can step in as the alpha dog and claim that WR No. 1 role in STL and kids call him Mr. Watkins.
