Pat White could be headed to the Canadian Football League.
White, the former Redskins and Dolphins quarterback, has signed with the CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos, the club said Thursday.
White, 28, was released by the Redskins on September 14. In four preseason games with Washington, White completed 28-of-50 passes for 330 yards with two interceptions. He also rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.
White had been out of the NFL since 2010 when the Redskins signed him last April. He was a second-round pick of Miami in 2009.
White is one of five quarterbacks on the Eskimos’ roster. Mike Reilly, who had stints with the Steelers, Packers and Rams in his NFL career, was Edmonton’s starter last season.
