The Seahawks have brought back a defensive back for a second tour with the club.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks have signed Raiders cornerback Phillip Adams to a one-year contract.

The Seahawks have confirmed the signing.

The 25-year-old Adams played in all 16 games (two starts) for Oakland last season, recording 30 tackles. In Seattle, he figures to contend for a backup job at corner, and he could also see some work on special teams.

Adams (5-11, 195) spent the end of the 2011 regular season and the entire 2012 preseason with the Seahawks. Seattle waived him on August 31, 2012, and Oakland was assigned him on waivers the next day. Adams has appeared in 31-of-32 regular season games for the Raiders in the last two seasons.

In addition to his time with Seattle and Oakland, Adams has had stints with San Francisco (2010-2011) and New England (2011). He was a seventh-round selection of the 49ers in 2010 out of South Carolina State.
