For a guy who started every game the last two years for a good team, Ryan Wendell didn’t draw much of a market.

Now, he’s got a deal and a he doesn’t have to move.

According to Field Yates of ESPNBoston.com, the Patriots have signed Wendell to a two-year deal with a maximum of $6.85 million.

Wendell played poorly last year, but had otherwise looked like a solid piece of a good line previously. Now, he’ll get a chance to reclaim a reputation.
