PFT on NBCSN will be all over the DeSean Jackson news

NBCUniversal Logos

The Eagles decided not to wait any longer for a trade partner.  So they dumped receiver DeSean Jackson on Friday, making him a free agent.

The story has many layers and levels, and we’ll be delving into as many of them as we can on NBCSN at 5:30 p.m. ET on Pro Football Talk.  Helping us understand it all will be Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly, who got the whole “DeSean could be done in Philly” ball rolling on PFT Live earlier this month, and A.J. Perez of NJ.com, who co-authored an article regarding potential off-field concerns relating to Jackson.

We’ll also be discussing where DeSean could land and other factors regarding the situation, with Erik Kuselias, Jon Ritchie, and Armando Salguero in the Connecticut studio and yours truly from the PFT satellite location in West Virginia.

And the show won’t only be about DeSean.  We’ll also be playing the Orlando interview of Jags coach Gus Bradley, and taking a closer look at what Jacksonville could or should do with the third overall pick in the draft.

See you at 5:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

For a playoff team to give up their #1 weapon in the prime of his career? I have to think this is more than just PR or an overreaction, they must have legitimate reasons from their own investigations to conclude that something very bad was imminent.

And if so, kudos to the Eagles for not ignoring it just for the sake of winning.

2nd time in a decade we’ve dropped a great game changing WR. Keep up the good work.

If you are going to get rid of the dog killer and gang member, you might as well get rid of the racist too!!!

Good to see a team wise up and get rid of the riff raft who act stupid off the field. He won’t me missed. There are plenty of good football players waiting for chance to make some big money and do good things with it. Hope no one picks him up.

That’s obviously not true. There’s thousands of Eagles fans in the stands every home game, they don’t dump them no matter how raucous they act.

Just as a head’s up you have to be careful how you do a slow blink to end the show, because the DVR freezes at a certain point and it looked like you were asleep!

Don’t forget that what we see on TV is sometimes affected by sneaky DVR tendencies, they can snub you in a variety of different ways!

Hey wait there’s no apostrophe on “head’s up”, oh well I guess we are even, and so is Armando for having a crooked tie during the morning show!

The Eagles will never win a Super Bowl. This team always screws up the draft and all other personnel moves.
