DeAngelo Hall wants DeSean in Washington

At a time when thousands of Raiders fans are making their desire for DeSean Jackson known on Twitter, Washington cornerback DeAngelo Hall has expressed a very strong interest in bringing his former nemesis to town.

Huge, huge, man,” Hall said Saturday night, via CSNWashington.com.  “If we could add a piece like that. . . .  He’s a threat whenever the ball is in hands.”

Hall seemed to get more excited about the prospect of playing with instead of against Jackson, the more Hall talked about it.

“It automatically makes the special teams better,” Hall said. “He’s a deep threat.  You can’t put eight in the box.  Man, if we could pull that off. . . .  I was a little disappointed early on in free agency, but if we could pull that off, hell, that would my day, make my year.”

Hall also has no concerns about Jackson’s ability to mesh with the other players.

“I feel like our locker room has a good group of young guys, a good group of old guys, man,” Hall said.  “Some of the things he’s been going through lately, that’s life.  That’s life.  We’ve all been through something, so . . . if he’s able to come here, man, I’m going to take him under my wing and just try to put him on the right path.”

Jackson could help put the Redskins back on the path to contention.  At a time when the Eagles seem to be opening up a wider gap with the rest of the division, having Jackson leave Philly and arrive in D.C. could help bunch things up a bit.

Using his speed in Jay Gruden’s offense, would be very, very scary

I hope desean goes somewhere In the NFC east so he can spank the eagles ass 2x a year

  7. goldback20 says: Mar 29, 2014 9:19 PM

In that case, he should of tried to get Hakeem Nicks too. He was another free agent that made D.Hall look like toast pretty much evey meeting. List is pretty long with these days, he must want half of the leagues top 50 WR on his team

  8. schmedley69 says: Mar 29, 2014 9:20 PM

So one player can make that much of a difference? The next time that a big free agent signing actually translates into a big spike in the win column for the Redskins will be the first time.

With 7 mil in cap space, i wonder how much the Skins are really willing to spend to bring him in. Oakland could come in and blow them out the water. I wonder if the Raiders are still enamored with speed..

Even adding him doesn’t make the Redskins even remotely “scary”

  12. attorneyfootballtalk says: Mar 29, 2014 9:23 PM

Good Thing a Model Teammate like DeAngelo is willing to take DeSean under his wing and put him on the right path… (rolls eyes)

  13. addict2sport says: Mar 29, 2014 9:31 PM

If he does sign with the Redskins that will immediately discredit the notions that his affiliates have a heavy influence on him. I’d have to imagine that going from spelling his last name as Jaccson to donning “Red”skin gear would not make those he’s allegedly tied to very happy.

  14. steviaquinn says: Mar 29, 2014 9:34 PM

Yeah , bring another locker room cancer onto the team to match Meangelo and RG3. Both those guys are the most overrated players in the league. At least Desean can perform on the field though.

Every team is enamored with speed. Don’t fool yourself. There are thousands of good college players every year that don’t play on Sundays because they are just too slow.

Dhall has some many great moments , from “shutting down ” TO to the tune of 12o yards, to Chad Johnson constantly embarrassing him. My favorite though has to be Hinds ward with one shoe burning him for 70 yards. The guy could never cover, he’s good at getting tipped ints in garbage time tough

“Some of the things he’s been going through lately, that’s life. That’s life. We’ve all been through something, so . . .”

Yeah what he’s going through is not “life” for us normals. Most of us cannot afford to be that stupid, or have that attitude in the workplace.

  19. 1rockyracoon says: Mar 29, 2014 9:42 PM

How much cap space does Washington have? Jackson wasn’t happy about making only $10.5 million this year.

No sorry Hall, not happening. As a Redskins fan I don’t want him anywhere near this team. He was a cancer for the Eagles and we got enough issues to deal with already without adding another one.

  24. ctconstruction says: Mar 29, 2014 9:58 PM

Let’s not kid ourselves….there is NO doubt that Big Al Davis would’ve signed D-Jack. Reggie McKenzie has made Raider Nation happy these last few weeks. Adding D-Jack would be the final step to guaranteeing The Oakland Coliseum is sold old every week.

    GO RAIDERS!!!!

Nice Try Desean, you aren’t fooling anyone. You are using these teams(especially the teams colored in Red) as a masquerade to prove to the public you have no gang ties with the Crips, who would never wear these colors, because these are what some of the Bloods wear.

IT ISN’T GOING TO WORK,NOBODY IS BUYING YOUR FACADE.

We all know where you will end up. If the Commissioner would use his authority, he would throw you out of the league, because you will keep the charade up, thinking most of us are morons who can’t see right through you.

Kansas City and Washington shouldn’t even entertain you, if they knew what your real agenda is. Using these teams to cool the Crip talk, so the media gets it’s boots of your neck, and so you don’t lose any endorsements.

Don’t buy anything or promote anything from this Wolf.

DJax is only going to Washington to gauge his value. All the Raiders have to do is match any offer from any other team. No team can offer up more money than the Raiders. DJax to Oakland, signed, sealed & delivered: guaranteed.

——————————————————————————————————————See thats the thing about “allegations”, as often as they are true they are just as often false! I don’t know of any “hardcore gangbangers” that scored a 1280 on their S.A.T and graduated from Cal-Berkley with a 3.0 GPA. I don’t know of any gangbangers that their only adult criminal offense was a simple marijuana possesion that was dropped.

  28. jerseyraider says: Mar 29, 2014 10:17 PM

So DeAngelo, we need some room to get DJax in under the cap. You willing to take a cut to get him in here? “Um, yeah! Right… see it’s like this; DeSean is good and all, but I don’t think he’d quite fit our offensive philosophy”. Exactly!

Thousands of Raiders fans are glad that DeAngelo Hall is in Washington, and not failing to cover Eddie Royal.

The one place you don’t want to see this guy is in New York! Can you imagine this knucklehead with a brand new signing bonus in New York City with his attitude? It would NOT end well! I doubt Rex would put up with his lazy work habits and ME FIRST attitude.

DeAngelo only wants him on the Skins so there will be one less receiver in the NFC east that regularly toasts him on gameday.

  37. dallascowboysdishingthereal says: Mar 30, 2014 1:28 PM

I think Jackson would like to face the Eagles twice a year.

  38. liquidchaoss says: Mar 30, 2014 2:24 PM

DeAngelo putting DeSean under his wing? The same guy who tried to fight a ref and his own team mates during a game? Yep right as rain.

  39. gregmorris78 says: Mar 31, 2014 12:16 AM

    @goldback20 – hilarious!

I don’t want him here in DC!

Not exactly like when Snyder brought neon Deion arch nemesis cowboy here but after what Jackson’s done to us over the years, I never want to see him in the burgundy & gold.

    Let’s go ‘Griff!!

  40. koolrepetoire says: Mar 31, 2014 9:13 AM

And where has DeAngelo Hall ever been a problem in the locker room? @Mpoles, you do know Hall made 8 million in 8 games right? What has Eddie Royal done since that 1 game? The next time Hall faced Jay Cutler he picked him off 4x in 1 game returned 1 for a pick 6 after a beautiful 1 hand snatch & got his uniform sent to the Hall of Fame as a Redskins player. BTW who is the Raiders #1 CB right now? Let’s see after Hall, Asomougha got exposed and is out the NFL, Stanford Rout got exposed and is out the NFL, Mike Jenkins got exposed and is off the team, Tracy Porter is our 3rd CB. DHall still starts & in that span has been a Pro Bowl MVP & has how many total takeaways? Let’s be real folks, Desean as a Redskins WR with Garcon’, Andre Roberts, & Jordan Reed with RG3 is scary. Come with those played our IRG3 jokes, or the usual Dan Snyder overspend nonsense. BTW RG3 has never been on IR.
