A former occasional starter for the Titans’ defense has landed with a CFL club.
According to the Winnipeg Free Press, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed linebacker Gerald McRath on Friday.
The 27-year-old McRath played 40 games (12 starts) from 2009 through 2011 for Tennessee, recording 120 tackles, defending four passes and notching 1.5 sacks. He missed the 2012 season after suffering a partial tear of his patellar tendon. McRath was out of the NFL in 2013, though he did work out for the Eagles last May.
McRath (6-3, 228) was a fourth-round pick of the Titans out of Southern Mississippi in 2009.
