The Jets are hosting a veteran cornerback who knows the AFC East well.
Dimitri Patterson, who intercepted four passes in just six games for the Dolphins in 2013, is meeting with the Jets on Monday, PFT’s Mike Florio reported.
An eight-year pro from Tuskegee, the 30-year-old Patterson has started 20 games in the last four seasons in stints with Philadelphia (2010), Cleveland (2011-2012) and Miami (2012-2013). He was limited to just six games a season ago with the Dolphins because of a groin injury. Miami released him on March 10, one day before the start of free agency.
The Jets released cornerback Antonio Cromartie on March 9.
