Dolphins sign Jason Fox

The Dolphins have added another piece to their rebuilding offensive line.

Jason Fox, an offensive tackle previously with the Lions, has signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins, a league source tells PFT. It’s something of a homecoming for Fox, who played his college football at Miami.

Fox entered the NFL as a 2010 fourth-round pick of the Lions and has played his entire career in Detroit. The Lions liked his talent, but he struggled to stay healthy, and he has started just three games in his four years in the NFL.

In Miami, Fox joins an offensive line that is trying to put last year’s dysfunctional season behind it. The biggest improvement the Dolphins have made was signing left tackle Branden Albert, and now Fox will compete for the opportunity to start at right tackle.
