When Dolphins coach Joe Philbin was the offensive coordinator in Green Bay, the offense was run on the field by quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Philbin will get a chance to coach Rodger’s brother in 2014. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins added quarterback Jordan Rodgers to the roster on Wednesday.

With Rodgers arriving in Miami, he’s now spent time with all three of Florida’s NFL teams since leaving Vanderbilt and going undrafted in 2013. He was signed by the Jaguars for training camp last summer and spent several months on the Buccaneers’ practice squad after Tampa parted ways with Josh Freeman last season. The Bucs released Rodgers in February and will now try to show the Dolphins that he’s more than just a camp arm.

The Dolphins made several other moves on Wednesday. Tackle Jason Fox was signed to be part of the right tackle mix and the team also added wide receivers Kevin Cone and Mike Rios to the organization.
