The Seahawks were able to win a Super Bowl despite playing musical chairs on the offensive line all season.

And it appears one of the members of that line is taking some steps toward getting healthier again.

Left tackle Russell Okung was photographed in a walking boot while at Oklahoma State’s practice Saturday, leading some to wonder whether he had surgery on his left big toe.

As noted by Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said at the Scouting Combine that it appeared they weren’t going to have to do surgery.

The Seahawks are already faced with replacing right tackle Breno Giacomini and backup Paul McQuistan, who started the eight games Okung missed. Giacomini signed with the Jets, while McQuistan signed with the Browns in free agency.

The boot could just be part of Okung’s rehabilitation regimen, keeping the weight off the problematic digit, in hopes he can get back to being the Sgt. Hulka of the Seahawks line.
