Andre Brown caps visit to Houston with a deal

Apparently the visit went well.

As we mentioned this morning, former Giants running back Andre Brown was headed to Houston for a free agent visit.

And according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Brown has agreed to a deal with the Texans.

Brown has been a solid running back when he’s been well, and should provide a good complement to Arian Foster. Of course, he’s had more than his share of injury problems, including a broken leg last year.

It’s also another box to check off before the draft, allowing them to focus on other areas.

This dude is better than Ben Tate hands down! I was praying he would still be injured when he played my Eagles cuz hes TOUGH to contain. Would be an NFL starter if not for injury problems

Andre will be glad to get away from that stern Nurse Ratched, who would march him straight to infirmary everytime he had a bruise.

Good for him….he’s a good guy, a very talented runner, and he’ll be missed by Giants fans. Hopefully he can finally stay healthy for a full season…if so he’ll be very productive.

Injuries and IF are famous last words of players who flash and burn…just saying.

Nice pick up! Prob still going to need another RB as insurance since Foster and Brown both have major injury concerns. Might be something they address through the draft.

Andre Brown was briefly with the Redskins and being even a no name backup for the Redskins meant he was the best RB of the past 25 years for the Giants.
