Jimmy says Jerry will put him in the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor

jerryjimmy

Jimmy Johnson won two Super Bowls with the Cowboys, and on most franchises a couple of Super Bowl rings would be more than enough to get a head coach in the Ring of Honor. But Johnson’s split with Jerry Jones was bitter, and as a result Johnson’s haircut hasn’t been given a place of honor alongside Tom Landry’s hat.

That, however, may soon change.

The Dallas Morning News reports that Johnson recently said that he’s been assured he’ll have a place in the Ring of Honor by Jones himself. According to the report, Jones and Johnson have put their differences aside and are now cordial to each other.

However, the report also says that it was three years ago when Johnson got that assurance about is place in the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor. So Jones is apparently in no hurry to give Johnson his moment. Even if he has already decided that the moment is coming eventually.
