Greg Jones visits the Falcons

At a time when the Falcons have no interest in a free-agent running back who recently landed on the market, they’re taking a close look at another running back who played in the same division.

OK, he’s a fullback.  But still a running back.

Greg Jones visited the Falcons on Tuesday, per a league source.  The 10-year veteran spent 2012 with the Texans after nine in Jacksonville.

The Falcons currently have one player listed as a fullback:  Patrick DiMarco, who appeared in 14 games with seven starts in 2013.

Not to be technical, but facts are facts:
    1. He spent 2013, not 2012, with the Texans
    2. Has there been a re-alignment of divisions? Since when is Houston and the Falcons in the same division?

    2. Same division as Chris Johnson (AFC South).

    Lion in the weight room.

Not a big difference maker on the field.

Pretty sure he could fight godzilla, however.

you know how hard it is for a fullback to be in the league 10 years? This guy is a freaking monster. Any other fullbacks make ESPNs body issue? Do a youtube search for his name and the first result is him back at FSU TATOOING future NFL corner Dexter Reid.

He would have been a great tailback if not for the knee injuries. The first one he suffered at FSU slowed him down. The one in 2006 in Jacksonville made him a fullback. While he was never the running back some imagined, he was one heck of a fullback.
