49ers’ new stadium opens with Broncos’ preseason visit

The Field of Jeans will open in Week Two of the preseason.

Levi’s Stadium, the new home field of the 49ers, will see its first game when the Broncos come to town. That became official when the preseason schedule was released today.

The date and time of the Broncos-49ers preseason game has not been announced, but all Week Two preseason games will take place between August 14 and August 18.

NFL preseason games are usually dull affairs featuring lots of playing time for players who won’t even make the regular-season roster, so fans who buy tickets to the game will be lucky to see Colin Kaepernick and Peyton Manning throw more than a couple of passes. But at least they’ll get the first look at a new stadium.

So the NFCW will have 3 of the premier stadiums in the NFL…and the Edward Jones Dome. Can’t wait until the Rams move out of that injury-inducing hellhole.

And they continue to whine. Hey you can pretend it’s the Super Bowl!
