Wednesday morning one-liners

The Bills are getting deeper on the defensive line.

Said Patriots DE Rob Ninkovich of adding Darrelle Revis, “We got the best corner in the league coming in. That’s always a good thing for a defensive end like myself. Just give me a little bit more time. I’ll be happy to use that.”

Dolphins LT Branden Albert is viewed as a better pass blocker than run blocker.

The Jets need to add a cornerback, in the draft or free agency or both.

Browns LB Brandon Magee is described as the “poor man’s Bo Jackson” as he tries his hand at minor league baseball.

Former Steelers LB Jamaal Westerman, who played last year with the Steelers, is making his offseason workouts more difficult by wearing a mask.

The Ravens are bringing in some local draft prospects on Monday.

Said Bengals WR Dane Sanzenbacher of re-signing, “I’ve had a sense of comfort in Cincinnati for whatever reason. I just have found it to be an easy place to play. It has a lot to do with the people that are around. It’s been a fun place to play. I knew I would be back there; I knew it was just a matter of getting the numbers worked out.”

Texans QB T.J. Yates says everyone was 15-20 minutes early to the first team meeting, trying to impress new coach Bill O’Brien.

Expect a lot of two-tight end formations from the Colts.

The Jaguars could be eyeing a quarterback like Zach Mettenberger or Jimmy Garoppolo in the second round.

After cutting Chris Johnson, the Titans are looking for help at running back.

Does Brock Osweiler have a future with the Broncos?

Here’s a look at the Chiefs’ offseason schedule.

The Raiders are taking a look at LSU QB Zach Mettenberger.

The Chargers are down to two nose tackles after they waived Byron Jerideau.

Former Alabama S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has what the Cowboys are looking for in the secondary.

The Giants need TE Adrien Robinson to show he’s ready to go this offseason.

If the Eagles draft a receiver, how quickly can he pick up Chip Kelly’s offense?

Washington has picked up P Blake Clingan.

New Bears WR Josh Bellamy will probably help more on special teams than on offense.

Lions DT Ndamukong Suh has settled a lawsuit with the Packers. (Not the Green Bay Packers, Mr. and Mrs. Packer, a couple suing Suh over a real estate issue.)

Packers CB Casey Hayward is ready to go for the offseason program.

A lot of mock drafts have the Vikings drafting QB Teddy Bridgewater.

Would Louisville LB Preston Brown be a fit for the Falcons?

The Panthers need to replace 10 catches a game that they’ve lost, and they’re not there yet.

The Saints will continue to use three safeties on the field at a time, as their free agent priorities have made clear.

Said Buccaneers LB Lavonte David of the start of offseason workouts, “All the coaches are real cool, even the strength and conditioning coaches.”

If this year is like last year, the Cardinals aren’t even close to being done shopping for free agents.

Should the Rams draft WR Sammy Watkins at No. 2 overall?

If the 49ers’ coaches want to work with QB Colin Kaepernick on his mechanics, they’re hamstrung by the NFL’s offseason rules.

The Seahawks are continuing their Super Bowl celebrations.

That guy at DFW is nuts. Dix is NOT what Dallas needs in the secondary. They already have a Clinton Dix in Barry Church (who is more than just a ‘decent’ player, before his injury he was playing at a pro bowl level). Dix is more of an in-the-box safety, he doesn’t have the speed or range to play a true free safety, which is what Dallas needs. I don’t think Dallas needs either Dix or Pryor, both are strong safety types.
