Damian Williams visits the Dolphins

Free agent receiver Damian Williams paid a visit to Miami today.

Williams, a third-round draft pick of the Titans in 2010, hasn’t drawn a lot of attention so far in free agency. Last year he was largely phased out of the Titans’ offense and only caught 15 passes for 178 yards.

But the 25-year-old Williams has shown flashes, and in his best season, 2011, he was a starter who caught 45 passes for 592 yards and five touchdowns. Williams also returns punts and kickoffs, and he could be a good addition to some team’s special teams, as well as the offense. Perhaps that team will be the Dolphins.

Could be a good value signing if it comes to pass.

Good insurance given some of the injuries that happened last year to Gibson and Hartline.

On the subject of Williams, he could be a good addition to our special teams as well as adding a wrinkle in the offense.

Grim…Dennis Hickey is alot smarter then you are & if he felt he needed a QB I’m sure he would bring one in…Tanne has played 2 seasons if he sucks this year then you can call it what u want.

Oh yeah, Tannehill sucks. How dare he not be able to get rid of the ball less than 1 second after it’s snapped. Why do you think Brandon Albert & Shelley Smith were signed, genius.
