Yes, the 49ers are aware Colin Kaepernick’s being investigated

As is usual in cases when teams are scrambling to find out information, the first step is to acknowledge the information they’re scrambling to gather.

Thus, the 49ers have responded to the report that quarterback Colin Kaepernick is being investigated for a possible sexual assault.

“The 49ers organization is aware of the recent media report regarding Colin Kaepernick and is in the process of gathering the pertinent facts,” the team said in a statement, via

TMZ reported that the investigation was in its “beginning stages,” so it’s entirely possible we don’t hear much from the 49ers until more facts are gathered.

The timing of this allegation definitely benefits the 49’ers organization. Say goodbye to that $20 million a year contract Colin.

Seems like he reads female defenses about as well as NFL ones.

even if this gets no further, he should get suspended four games as Ben was in pittsburgh, when there were no charges, no nothing….

Go the Ravens route and say nothing, support your players and have the fans deny everything happened and is just a conspiracy that will never happen again,,,,until it happens again. 49ers and Ravens + Jokes of the NFL

Why these guys ever leave their house is beyond me!

  13. catfish252 says: Apr 10, 2014 1:40 PM

I can’t believe how many of these cases are appearing now, either these guys don’t understand the meaning of no or that no matter how rich or special you may find yourself some women will still not pull their panties down for you like they did in college, or perhaps a certain element of girls has found out how easy it is to get a cash settlement from these guys. I would like to hear the particulars on this situation before I throw him under the bus.

DUI’s, Felonies, Misdemeanor’s, Sexual Assaults. The 49ers might be a great team on the field but JEEZ they are a pack of punks off the field. It is NOT hard to NOT get in trouble.

  20. SAV says: Apr 10, 2014 2:38 PM

Ravens are such a classless organization that keeps winning Superbowls yaaay! Better that then being classy and sucking like every other team!

  21. cguy7 says: Apr 10, 2014 2:41 PM

Wow, assaulting teammates, firearms at a party with knives, discharging firearms and stabbings, hit and run with brass knuckles, and now sexual assault accusations? Man, what a great group of guys you got there in San Fran… The Hawks and Ravens are envious…

  22. doe22us says: Apr 10, 2014 2:43 PM

Has he given a statement in that annoying voice of his, or better yet is he wearing shades in a room. Nothing screams “what a guy” we that fashion faux pas.

  23. medialovesthecowboys says: Apr 10, 2014 2:47 PM

Will say as a Cowboy fan, growing up I was always dogged by my SF friends about the 49er way.

Name me one current Cowboy in trouble with the law over the last five years without Googling.

I can spot you five Niners off the top of my head.

Overrated QB who only looks legit against Green Bay. Best team in that division is Arizona.
