Publicist for A.J. McCarron and Katherine Webb says no reality show “as of yet”

On Wednesday, we passed along some comments made by Katherine Webb’s sister about a reality show being filmed that would cover her sister’s wedding to Alabama quarterback and NFL hopeful A.J. McCarron.

McCarron reacted quickly to say that he’s only interested in playing football and that what “my future wife does is her business,” perhaps in order to stave off any criticism about his priorities heading into the NFL draft. On Friday, a publicist for the couple pulled things back even further by telling CBS Houston that talk of a show is premature although she indicated McCarron is in on the decision-making process.

“There is not actually a reality tv show as of yet. The initial article that came out yesterday was very premature as AJ and Katherine are listening to pitches from a number of production companies and networks about a potential show but there is not actually a “show” to talk about yet.”

That means we’ll all have to wait and see if we’ll get a chance to peek in on the McCarron/Webb nuptials. While we do, there’s always the reality show built around Jets wide receiver Eric Decker and his wife, singer Jessie James, to keep us occupied.

It will happen right after he’s drafted and signs that contract. Amazing timing.

It’s still in the planning stages. Not yet reality.

This is an intelligent direction at least for AJ. Regardless how it was explained, absolutely NO GOOD could have come from a prospective professional QB participating in a reality show about intimate moments leading up to his marriage and his ensuing private family life. It immediately calls into question his decision-making skills. Lastly if HIS agent dreamed up and or went along with this risky venture, he/she should be replaced for his/her decision skills.

Best reality tape would be time lapse of his face while he sees how far he falls in the draft.

After strong audience response to the first episode involving Katherine having a shower and trying to decide which outfit to wear that day, interest waned.

Meanwhile, Johnny Football puts up a 32 on the Wonderlic. Don’t marry that gal until you’ve had a chance to sew your royal oats!

Nick Saban has a good track record of preparing cornerbacks, linebackers, defensive ends, offensive guards, wide receivers, etc for the NFL, but he doesn’t have one with QBs.
AJ needs to focus on trying to get an opportunity. He’s probably going to be drafted in round 3 or 4. And there are very few QBs that get drafted from there who make it in the NFL.
Katherine may love the limelight but this isn’t about her. AJ needs to put his foot down and be in control. She is very attractive but sounds like trouble. Alabama Kardashian?

The NFL follows players around with a camera all the time leading up to the draft. How is this any different? Because he beat them to the punch, or is it because it involves his smoking hot fiance? Look, Saban is all football all the time. He’s obsessed with football. And he loves this kid. I think McCarron must be pretty focused on football.

No reality show as of yet says their publicist. Examine that statement and ask how many other NFL hopefuls have a publicist. The denial of their reality show is the first episode of their reality show.

The shows working title…Keeping Up with the McCarrons.

Whatever the scenario here, this could not have been worse timing for AJ McCarron as he prepares for the draft, and, I’m sure, tries to enhance his draft position. This is a young QB over whom opinions greatly diverge, and this does absolutely nothing but call into at least some question his priorities, decision-making, and dedication to the game.
Don’t understand these young people sometimes.

I thought they already made a show about nothing.

One old man announcer goes mush faced over her and she’s “hot”.

A coincidence how MUSHberger is no longer an NCAA announcer .

As far as the lady goes she could be the iceberg of all time.

The QB hasn’t lost many and just might be the best of the lot this year.
