Report: Saints bringing in Calvin Pryor for a visit

Pryor

The Saints have loaded up the safety position in recent months. They could be considering loading it up even more.

Per multiple reports, the Saints are bringing safety Calvin Pryor to New Orleans for a visit.

Workouts happen on campus; a visit means only that the Saints will be talking to Pryor in more extensive detail that they could at other times.

The Saints used a first-round pick last year on safety Kenny Vaccaro, signed safety Jairus Byrd to a big-money deal in free agency, and recently matched an offer sheet signed by safety Rafeal Bush with the Falcons.

A visit doesn’t mean the Saints would draft Pryor. It could be a smokescreen, or an assessment of the player in the event an opportunity arises to trade down.

That’s why it’s so hard to know whether any of these visits mean anything. Sometimes they do, a lot of times they don’t.
