Chiefs bring back Kyle Williams

The Chiefs got back to work on Monday and they spent part of the day securing the return of wide receiver Kyle Williams.

Williams was claimed off of waivers from the 49ers in November and played in one game for the Chiefs before tearing the ACL in his left knee. Williams didn’t have any catches for Kansas City and had 12 for 113 yards before being cut loose by the Niners.

It’s the second time in as many years that Williams has torn the same ACL, which has to create some concern about how much he will be able to contribute to the Chiefs in 2014. Kansas City needs help at wideout, but Williams was unlikely to be the answer to their needs even before the second knee injury.

Williams also has experience as a returner from his days in San Francisco, but even that comes with a caveat. He’s best known for fumbling a pair of punt returns in a NFC Championship Game loss to the Giants in January 2012.

How many times did he fumble on his way to Kansas City?

I would like to believe he will help the team but what I guess is he came Ultra Cheap. I hope he proves us wrong.

He’s a good kid and a hard worker, it stinks that the only reason he’s somewhat well known is for his mistakes. Add to that some bad luck tearing the same ACL twice, and this guy just can’t catch a break. I’d like to see him put together a decent year for the Chiefs

Thank God for that guy. Giants Rule!

If Williams doesn’t commit those two fumbles, history may have been completely changed for one or more players. Remember that Alex Smith was the QB for the ‘Niners. If they win that game, SF goes to the Super Bowl and then what?

0 catches for the Chokes? That makes him one of their better receivers.

Regarding those fumbles, he shouldn’t have been playing to begin with, he was concussed from playing the Bounty Gate Saints team the week before

And he is also better than any receiver on the Fade.
