Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera sits down with ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio to discuss Cam Newton’s ankle surgery and subsequent rehab. Rivera says ideally the surgery could have waited a year, as to allow Newton to acclimate to a completely new receiving corps, but that ultimately it just couldn’t wait.
