So how many Lions players are named after former presidents? Bush, Johnson, Carter, Roosevelt…I suppose we are drafting Clinton-Dix?

I’m sure Sammy Watkins is crushed now that he knows he won’t be drafted by the Detroit Lions because of the Roosevelt signing. (You do know I’m not really serious.)

Naaman- a cool and rather unusual biblical name. Naaman was the Syrian army officer whom Elisha healed of leprosy.

Statistically, Roosevelt may be the best wide receiver acquired by Mayhew and the best part is that we didn’t waste a draft pick on him.

Hope he’s on the Lions roster come September. He’s a local kid who we liked in Buffalo, he showed promise.
