Though the draft has yet to commence, we are less than three months from the start of training camps around the NFL.

On Tuesday came news of the training camp reporting date for one NFC North club. Via Bears sideline reporter Zach Zaidman of 670 AM in Chicago, the Bears will arrive at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois on July 24, the club’s website announced.

Olivet Nazarene has been the Bears’ summer home since 2002. The club agreed last year to remain in Bourbonnais for summer training through 2022.

The Bears are regarded as a candidate for HBO’s Hard Knocks. However, the NFL denied Tuesday that the Bears, Giants and Steelers were the three finalists for the 2014 edition of the show.

The Bears’ first practice of camp is expected to take place on July 25, per ChicagoBears.com.

The Bears would be perfect for Hard Knocks since they have the longest playoff drought in the NFC North.

I think turd bay could report next week and they would still be the joke of the league when it comes to defense!

I wish my Korey didn’t report to Viking camp.

I think the Bears should have their defense report two weeks earlier than the rest of the team. That unit has a lot of improving to do if the Bears want to be in the playoff conversation this season at all.

The Bears would be an entertaining team to be on Hard Knocks, with the always loquacious Black Unicorn, Brandon Marshall who has turned into a very thoughtful person, and of course there’d be the daily Jay Cutler watch. That being said, I’d prefer that they wouldn’t be on. This team has huge expectations for this season, deservedly so after overhauling their defense and returning the 2nd best offense in the NFL, so additional distractions like Hard Knocks wouldn’t be great for the team.

I’d love to see the Bears on Hard Knocks, but just for the interactions with Briggs, Tillman, Forte and Marshall. Jeffery seems quiet like Jay, but Allen should be fun.
