After a 3-4 start to their 2013 season, the Arizona Cardinals finished the year as one of the best teams in the league over the final two months. The Cardinals won seven of their final nine games and still had a chance to earn a playoff berth into the final week of the season. They are the only team in two years to beat the Seahawks in Seattle, earning a 17-10 victory in Week 16.

However, a 10-6 record in a loaded NFC wasn’t good enough to make the postseason and the Cardinals were forced to watch from home.

The Cardinals will have to take another step forward in order to chase down the Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West. However, they currently only have six draft picks to work with.

Arizona needs to maximize the draft picks they have at hand. Finding a complement to John Abraham at linebacker and Tyrann Mathieu at safety are top priorities. Another addition along the offensive line at right tackle should also be considered. A tight end to aid Carson Palmer in the passing game is a possibility as well.
