The Dallas Cowboys have bolstered the depth of their wide receiving corps a week ahead of the NFL Draft.

The team announced Thursday they have signed former Arizona Cardinals receiver Laron Byrd.

At 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, Byrd is the biggest receiver currently under contract with the Cowboys.

Byrd was signed by the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Miami (FL) following the 2012 NFL Draft. He appeared in four games and recorded just one catch for eight yards in his rookie season. Byrd suffered a concussion in training camp last season and landed on the Cardinals’ injured reserve list for the entire season. He was released by Arizona in April.

During his college career at Miami, Byrd had 106 receptions for 1,254 yards and seven touchdowns. He set a career high in 2009 with 33 receptions for 460 yards.
