Falcons sign Bear Pascoe

Denver Broncos v New York Giants

Denver Broncos v New York Giants

The Falcons have been taking a look at some of the remaining veteran free agents still available on the open market and they signed one of them on Thursday.

The team announced that tight end Bear Pascoe has been added to the roster after he worked out for the team on Thursday. Linebacker Dan Connor, who was briefly Pascoe’s teammate with the Giants, has also worked out for Atlanta.

If Pascoe earns time with the Falcons during the 2014 season, it will be because of his blocking skills. There would seem to be an opening for such a player on the Falcons’ depth chart, which currently has Mickey Shuler and Andrew Szczerba behind presumptive starter Levine Toilolo.

The group could welcome another addition during the draft next week and/or when the team signs up undrafted free agents to round out the competition for snaps with Tony Gonzalez in a television studio.
