O’Brien Schofield finally has a deal, stays with Seahawks

Two months after it first appeared he had a job for next season, Seahawks outside linebacker O’Brien Schofield apparently has one now.

Schofield tweeted the news of his return this afternoon, saying “I’m coming back home one more year,” with the obligatory #12thman hashtag.

The pass-rusher was close to a two-year deal with the Giants at the outset of free agency, but a knee problem scuttled that deal. He later worked out for the Titans, and passed a physical.

The Seahawks claimed him off waivers after three years with the Cardinals, and though he played a limited role for them last year, were willing to bring him back.

Probably not going to average the 4 million the Giants almost wasted on him.

Solid role player, but I feel like the Giants BS’d him out of a nice pay day.

If the Giants were so wrong with their evaluation – why weren’t other teams beating down his door?

If the Titans felt his knee was fine, why didn’t they sign him?

Everyone knows that each medical dept for each team is subjective in their evaluations of a player. there are some players that one team won’t touch – yet another team would pass them.

It’s unfortunate that Schofield had a rough offseason – but I wish him the best.

Seahawks earned half of a SB trophy playing Denver and their choking QB..

I’m going out on a limb here, but it appears the lavender Larry’s of Minnesota have some built-up aggression towards the Seahawks. Haha….ZERO SB’s you knuckleheads.

Schofield looked good in limited action last year when Chris Clemons was still recovering from his torn ACL. Happy to see him back in Seattle for another year.

What’s the constant fascination with Texas A&M’s 12th man tradition ?

Rather be a one hit wonder then a no hit wonder

Vikings fans don’t like the Seahawks because we took their cast-off coach, cast-off QB, #1 & 2 WR’s then won a Superbowl. Its a shame AP has to play for that joke.

Bunch of haters at my team
Hawk fans should act like they have been there!
    All 12 of you!!

This is great a player who knows the system but maybe needs another year or so to recover . Provides pass rush at the Leo and can pop back to Lb . Great one year deal now that we’ve let some de rush go.

Another cheap piece that knows the system. Not a lock to make the 53 man so it’s competition time as usual!

Seahawks continue to win off the field just like they do on the field.
