Obama mimics Sherman during Correspondents Dinner

Obama

Several NFL players attended Saturday night’s White House Correspondents Dinner, an annual event which features a standup-style monologue from the Commander-in-Chief.

This year, President Barack Obama specifically mentioned one of the players by name.

“Seattle Seahawk cornerback Richard Sherman is here tonight, and he gave me some great tips on how to handle [media criticism]. Jake Tapper, don’t you ever talk about me like that! I’m the best President in the game!

“What do you think, Richard? Was that good? A little more feeling next time?”

Obama followed that with another sports reference. In pointing out that an American won the Boston Marathon for the first time in 30 years, Obama said, “It’s inspiring and only fair since a Kenyan has been President for the last six.”

Here’s the whole thing, if you have 20 minutes to kill and are interested in hearing the President deliver jokes someone else wrote. Which actually makes it no different than the monologue for any late-night show.
