Miami police release 911 calls from Kaepernick incident

Last month, a report from Miami indicated that Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette called police to report a naked woman who refused to leave his hotel room in an incident that also involved 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Miami police released audio from a pair of 911 calls on Tuesday, one by a hotel security guard and the other by an unidentified man who could be Lockette based on that report.

“I want to report there’s a young lady in my friend’s bed,” that caller said, via the San Jose Mercury News. “He’s not here. She’s going to wait in his bed. She’s not leaving. We asked her to leave. We told her he won’t be here tonight. She said she’s not leaving until she sees him. … He’s not her boyfriend. (Inaudible.) But he’s not here so she went and got in bed naked, and said she’s staying there until he got back.”

The security guard also said that the woman refused to leave and added that the woman responded “Jesus” when asked her name.

No charges have been filed, although Miami police have yet to close their investigation into what Kaepernick referred to as “a bad circumstance” in his hometown recently.

Same thing I always did when naked women tried to get in my bed and not leave, got tired of it and just quit showing up!

Good to know in this day and age that an athlete’s name can be dragged through the mud by media speculation even when nothing happened at a place they weren’t even at.

Ugghhh, the draft is still two days away.

It is difficult to understand why its still being referred to as the Kaep Incident, when two important things are absent:
    1) He wasn’t even there when the police were called and
    2) There has yet to be a single shred of evidence establishing that anyone committed a crime against anyone else.

But don’t let the truth get in the way of sensational headlines.

Kap calls a naked, randy, woman in his bed a “bad circumstance”. Easy for him to say.

  10. ravenswhat says: May 6, 2014 6:24 PM

She said her name was Jesus? I hear Kaepernick refers to himself as God. GUILTY.

  11. schmitty2 says: May 6, 2014 6:27 PM

The security guard also said that the woman refused to leave and added that the woman responded “Jesus” when asked her name.

Apparantly it is true then that Jesus can show up in any form…..including being a drugged out naked woman.

  12. granadafan says: May 6, 2014 6:30 PM

Uh, shouldn’t this be called the “Ricardo Lockette” incident instead of the “Kaepernick Incident” since Ricardo ws the one who made the call?

  13. iamdinguskhan says: May 6, 2014 6:30 PM

While RGIII, Russell, Brady, Peyton, Luck spend their off seasons working out and trying to get better Kap seems to be doing the total opposite. If its not wearing other teams hats its doing shady things in Miami hotel rooms. I feel for San Fran this guy is a problem…not a team player

  14. Go-Hawks! says: May 6, 2014 6:31 PM

Why is it called the Kaep incident?? Are seriously asking that question?

By all accounts, Kaepernick WAS there before this all went down. By all accounts, Kaepernick WAS involved “somehow” with the woman in question. And by all accounts, Kaepernick left after she got into bed.

Imagine that YOU are the reason some crazy lady comes to a party at your friends house. She gets all freaky and you leave. Your friends are going to have to deal with it, but it is YOUR mess. It is YOUR incident.

This deservedly has Kaepernicks name all over it, even if it is just a circumstance of “crazy female dog won’t go home”.

  15. joey49er says: May 6, 2014 6:34 PM

This stuff cant get any funnier…..The guys have to call the police just to make her leave….sounds like the players were the innocent ones here! She should be prosecuted..What was she doing with 3 dudes drinking? Sounds like she was trying to get paid!

Lockette is confused. When he poked his head in the room the woman saw how dumb he looked, shook her head, rolled her eyes, and said “Jesus!”.

So, you are saying he is going to miraculously learn how to play the QB position between now and September?

Kaaepernick will continue to get worse as time goes on. The D is a year older, some players will end up hurt. If Kaep has to carry that team, they are in deep trouble. He is not the reason they win.

I’ve yet to hear any statement from the woman, Lockette and Kaepernick have absolutely NO reason to lie – do they? I mean it’s not like Kaepernick has any sort of reputation of being a punk and wasn’t asking for 18 million a year in a new contract and such a situation would look bad for him.

NOPE – there’s ZERO reason to believe that Kaepernick and some no-body had any reason to give false impressions on what happened there.

Course it’s just the Miami PD keeping this open because they’re looking for notoriety.

  34. alshonbrandontandem says: May 6, 2014 7:08 PM

The ONLY reason Ricardo Lockette’s name is in the news is because of this story. Anyone outside of Seattle ever heard of him? Enjoy your 10 minutes of fame

  35. xestenz says: May 6, 2014 7:24 PM

My how this story has changed from the first salacious headlines making claims of a sexual assault…

  36. southpaw79 says: May 6, 2014 7:28 PM

People are really wondering why this case is still open? For starters the police were called to remove her from the building, maybe they are looking into charges being placed against her. If she claimed rape and there is no evidence, that could be a false report that could get her into even more trouble. The case could still be open because the girl, not Kaepernick or Lockette, are being looked into further.

What exactly do they have to lie about? You must have missed the entire article posted here where everyone involved says nothing happened. But go ahead and tell us how much of a liar everyone is based off what you know happened. You appear to have more information than everyone involved right?

  38. clashpoint says: May 6, 2014 7:44 PM

I love the double standard here. If the players arent interested in sex with the drunk, naked woman, they get mocked for it. If they are, then they are abusive sexual predator scumbags for it. No one seems to take any middle ground here, people posting about it post almost solely at either extreme when neither position is realisticly likely. Sometimes there’s just no winning in the court of public opinion, which is probably extra tough for athletes conditioned to worship winning.

Can we start the draft yet?

  39. vikesr4reel says: May 6, 2014 7:48 PM

  40. chawk12thman says: May 6, 2014 7:49 PM

Nothing new revealed by the release. It really looks like the PD is trying to keep this active in the news……..

If there is something to indicate a crime was committed (Rape Kit evidence results that were taken initially at the hospital) then get moving on getting the case resolved. If not, close it out and tell the press that pending further developments, your investigation is done.

This looks like a none story at this point.

    numerous ped violations
Russel Wilson divorces after just 2 yrs for cheating…
    Sherman holding like no other.
    marshawn How many arrests?”

And exactly how many of those claims were from the Superbowl Season?

The Fail Mary catch (which was proved to be a correct call btw) happened in 2012.
Numerous PED violations (Most actually weren’t PED violations, they were for pot) 2 last season.
Russell Wilson divorcing (Why are you even mentioning this? Poof there goes your credibility it has nothing to do with football)
Sherman holding ( happening all over the NFL, not just Sherman)
Marshawn Lynch zero arrests since 2012. Only one as a Seahawk.

So all of the above is false or misleading information at best. Total fabrications at the worst.

Sounds like many of you have never had a completely drunk and horny girl throw themselves at you before. Aside from the supposed/alleged marijuana use, I don’t see what else he could have or should have done. He removed himself from a “bad situation” as he calls it (which sounds 100% accurate). If he had sex with her, then it could have been construed as taking advantage of her, and charges could be filed. Funny how all you Seattle fans wanted so badly for him to be guilty of something here, you guys must be “above reproach” as well…

  43. rkab22 says: May 6, 2014 8:05 PM

Why does this story say that Kap’s hometown is Miami? He was born in Wisconsin and raised in Turlock, CA.

Because its stories like these don’t get the same attention others do. Everyone ran to social media to condemn Kaepernick the moment the TMZ story hit. But now that the truth came out from the released police 911 tapes – no one wants to admit they were wrong or that they should have checked with more sources or that they should have put two and two together based on how Miami PD was treating this whole thing.

Because its easier to tear someone down than build them back up.

  44. iamdinguskhan says: May 6, 2014 8:08 PM

  45. snoqualmkanem says: May 6, 2014 8:08 PM

A bunch of information has yet to be released.
It was said she used a bong and was high on pot and alcohol.
    Was it hers?
If it wasn’t, who provided the pot?
She said she doesn’t remember anything.
Is that due to her drug use, or was she slipped a roofie?

I don’t believe anybody posting here has any idea what happened. Either they are blindly defending or blindly accusing Kaep, Lockette and the other player (don’t have the name in front of me).

Story has changed multiple times. Would love to see it brought to a close.

I certainly hope that they move the draft back to April.

  46. snoqualmkanem says: May 6, 2014 8:11 PM

The Fail Mary catch (which was proved to be a correct call btw) happened in 2012.
Numerous PED violations (Most actually weren’t PED violations, they were for pot, 2 for pot, one for Adderal last season. Let me know if you really believe that pot is a PED.
Russell Wilson divorcing (Why is this even mentioned? Poof there goes your credibility as it has nothing to do with football)
Sherman holding ( happening all over the NFL, not just Sherman)

And here it comes>>>are u ready?<<< 49ers 5 trophy's at their new stadium…..And Seacheats 1 in 40 yrs ….just think by the time your kids, kids are having kids than they have kids they might have 1 more trophy

  49. snoqualmkanem says: May 6, 2014 8:51 PM

Sorry, Pete left on his own.
Only one player tagged for either PED or pot use is currently on the team.
Amount of trophy’s won at Levi Stadium? Zero.
Amount of Superbowl trophies in the last 20 years for the niners? Zero.
I do give credit to the niners for fielding a good team over the last few seasons.
However they have been at best the “second best” in football.
Wow… you try to claim that future history will follow the past.
Nothing much to say on that. Think about the other possibility though… Seattle may win 2 or 3 over the next decade and the niners will continue playing second fiddle to their bigger brothers from the north…

  50. realfootballfan says: May 6, 2014 8:54 PM

Hey, let’s drag players’ names through the mud before we get any facts and continue doing so even when the few facts we get point to us being very wrong on our initial “report.” That’s how today’s “media” rolls.

  51. snoqualmkanem says: May 6, 2014 8:54 PM

    Here’s a thought for you…
More niners have been arrested in the last six months than Seahawks over the last six years…
    Odd how it works out…
If you are selective about history and either vague or factually inaccurate you can make any team look better or worse than they actually are.

To me, that doesn’t really reflect poorly on CK at all, but as the potential face of the franchise, he needs to be more careful about who he associates with. That’s the valuable lesson to be learned in all of this. He’s 26 and finding out how media witch hunts work.
