San Francisco 49ers special teams standout C.J. Spillman posted a photo to his instagram account on Wednesday saying he was “fresh out of surgery.”
According to Bill Williamson of ESPN.com, the surgery was a procedure on Spillman’s hand that may keep him out for some offseason workouts. However, he is expected to be healthy in time for training camp in late July.
Spillman has appeared in all 48 games for the 49ers over the last three seasons as a reserve safety and core special teams member. Spillman has recorded 54 tackles over that span in limited action.
