After spending 11 of his 12 seasons in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers, linebacker Larry Foote is headed to join the Arizona Cardinals.
According to the Associated Press, Foote signed a one-year deal with the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Foote played in just one game for Pittsburgh last season. He suffered a ruptured right biceps and was placed on injured reserve.
Foote has started 119 of 172 games during his 12-year career. He spent his first seven seasons in Pittsburgh before playing one year for the Detroit Lions in 2009. Foote returned to the Steelers the following year and has spent the last four years back in Pittsburgh.
Foote likely will provide some added insurance for the Cardinals at inside linebacker as Daryl Washington faces a possible suspension after pleading guilty to assaulting an ex-girlfriend in April.
