The New England Patriots are taking a look at a former Pro Bowl lineman less than a week before the start of the NFL Draft.
According to Field Yates and Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com, the Patriots hosted former Tampa Bay Buccaneers guard Davin Joseph for a visit.
Joseph started 99 games in seven seasons with the Buccaneers and was named to two Pro Bowls. However, a knee injury forced Joseph to miss the entire 2012 season and his play never returned to the same level last season. The Buccaneers released Joseph in March.
Joseph would bring a veteran presence, depth and competition to the Patriots offensive line.
