Don’t rule out a wideout for Falcons at No. 6

There’s a chance that, by the time the Falcons use the sixth pick in the draft, Jadeveon Clowney, Khalil Mack, Greg Robinson, and Jake Matthews will be gone.

So what will the Falcons do at No. 6?

Many presume they wouldn’t take a receiver, due to the presence of Roddy White and Julio Jones.  But that may be a faulty presumption, given that White turns 33 later this year, that he missed several games due to injury in 2013, that he predates the arrival of the current regime, and that he’s entering the final year of a contract that he possibly wants to be torn up and extended.

The end result could be that White is traded, and that Mike Evans or Sammy Watkins (pictured) is selected.

The Falcons also could opt to trade down, if a team like the Bills or Lions make an offer that G.M. Thomas Dimitroff can’t refuse.

Detroit did that for a few years. You need Oline and D to win in the playoffs.

The worst thing about dropping the NFL network is now I have to listen the Chris Berman. I’d pay ESPN extra to get him off the air?

Jones trade worked out well. Go ahead cry they needed depth. No one has the depth to cover all the injuries they had in 2013.
You need multiple picks to make sure you have enough to hit on some and fail on others. If you combine those picks to get a big time player and he’s the stud you graded him to be, it’s a win.

But no they are not a WR at 6 in any scenario.
    Obviously they trade down.
Too many worthwhile WR’s to get later if they want one. Especially for a team with White & Jones, and needing linemen.

Guys they just announced the Atlanta Falcons will trade their entire draft, current players, coaches, and waterboys to move up to #5.

    Dimitroff is a genius.
