Titans take Taylor Lewan with the 11th pick

Taylor Lewan

The Titans had their chance at a smallish, athletic quarterback.

But they chose to protect the one they have already.

With the 11th pick, the Titans selected Michigan tackle Taylor Lewan.

He will give them some options, considering they signed Michael Oher to play right tackle this offseason, oppositie veteran Michael Roos.

It wasn’t a need pick per se, as they may still need a quarterback behind or instead of Jake Locker. But they ignored a bigger need at cornerback to take the best player on the board.

Lineman picks on both sides of the ball are always safe if you have the talent positions, but I think the Titans could have picked him up later.

Pretty safe pick considering Roos age/production. The O-Line should be solid for years to come. Now if we can only address that D & running game.

What a waste of decent player. The Titans are just filler in the NFL. Too bad Lewan didn’t go to a team that could use him and make a difference.

I like this pick over QB. Locker’s still under contract for another year, and they need to groom Roos’ replacement.
