Browns take Joel Bitonio with No. 35 pick

The Browns, who have received some unwanted news about star wide receiver Josh Gordon, went for an offensive lineman with their second-round pick, drafting Nevada’s Joel Bitonio No. 35 on Friday evening.

Bitonio (6-4, 302) could push to start at guard or at right tackle. He was a three-season starter for the Wolfpack.

The Browns’ next pick is slated to be in Round Three (No. 71 overall). Now, the focus turns to whether they add a wideout to a receiving corps that reportedly could be without Gordon, who reportedly faces a potential NFL suspension for a positive marijuana test, according to ESPN.

Josh Gordon must be one of the stupidest people on the planet, and I’m a Browns fan. This at least the third time in his life this has happened, and he was about to get paid big too. And now I think the decision to pass on Watkins knowing that he was gonna be suspended is completely unjustifiable, extra first rounder next year or not. Of course as a Cleveland fan, the second there’s hope and excitement it goes right back out the door.

I wonder if they just stuck with the draft board that they had. So far they are taking needs that they had.

Farmer has been too busy trading up and down the board so he can prove to everyone he is in control lol. Guess he forgot to land a competent replacement.

guess it’s Andrew Hawkins time. Our 5th WR is your new #1

Wow, this guy is just what the Steelers would have needed had their draft strategists not been insane. The guy is a monster.
