The Eagles moved up 12 spots in Round Two to draft a wide receiver, trading their second-round pick (No. 54) and a fourth-round selection (No. 122) to the Titans to take Vanderbilt’s Jordan Matthews No. 42 overall on Friday.

Matthews (6-3, 212) hauled in 112 passes for 1,477 yards and seven scores for the Commodores in 2013. He joins an Eagles receiving corps featuring Jeremy Maclin and Riley Cooper.

The Eagles released DeSean Jackson, their top receiver from a season ago, in late March.

The Eagles are scheduled to have two more picks on Friday — a pair of third-round selections (Nos. 83 and 86).

Matthews was the second wide receiver selected in Round Two. Three picks earlier, the Jaguars took USC’s Marqise Lee.
