Terrance West lands in Cleveland

The Browns still need help at receiver.  With the 30th pick in round three, acquired via trade with the 49ers, the Browns opted for running back Terrance West.

The Towson tailback generated plenty of buzz in recent weeks, with the Falcons taking a very close look at him.

Rated as the second-best tailback by, West has good size (225 pounds) and speed (4.54 seconds), but fumbling (not to be confused with butt fumbling) has at times been a problem.

He’ll need to solve that problem at the next level, where the defenders make a more direct effort to dislodge the ball.

West joins a depth chart that includes Ben Tate, who arrived via free agency from Houston.  Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan’s system relies on running backs who can execute the one-cut approach, hitting the hole and exploding for as much yardage as possible.

Love the pick. I think he is going to steal carries from Tate and he may take over the starting job next year or maybe even this year at some point.

Browns will just draft a WR in 2016.

The rewards are many to those who have worked as hard as Terrence. He comes from my old neighborhood. He is a good kid; the grandson of a friend of mine. Those closest to him will try to build a hedge around him to keep him with a level head and a humble spirit. We are proud of him. We know the sharks are in the water and are out for blood. We are praying that Terrence West will rise at his own pace and not be taken in by those that mean him no good. There are so many that fall victim to the fast life……only to be humbled . We thank God and wish Terrence and all of the other young men the best of blessings.

Would have loved to keep him in Baltimore. Great pick.

Great pick.. Don’t count out Dion Lewis. That kid was good last season before the break. Tate does get hurt due to violent running so this works out just fine.

Doesn’t matter who’s running the ball when there’s 9 guys in the box. Why would they bother covering receivers when we have ZERO?

Wish the Ravens landed the kid I think Browns traded up to avoid that from happening. Was hoping to nab him in round 3-4. Well Browns fans are going to need him with no Josh Gordon…

The Browns have successfully drafted 3 sure fire busts. Go Browns!
