Rams add son of J.C. Watts

Watts

The St. Louis Rams have unveilved a 15-member class of undrafted free agents. Among them is Tulsa running back Julius “Trey” Watts.

The son of former Oklahoma star quarterback and former U.S. Congressman J.C. Watts, Trey walked on at Tulsa. As a senior in 2013, he rushed for 1,329 yards and a touchdown.

The elder Watts never played in the NFL, but he was named the Grey Cup MVP in 1981 as a member of the Ottawa Rough Riders.

The Rams also have added Bowling Green tight end Alex Bayer, South Dakota cornerback Jarrid Bryant, Central Michigan safety Avery Cunningham, New Mexico receiver Austin Franklin, Bacone defensive tackle Deantre Harlan, Minnesota linebacker Aaron Hill, Western Kentucky fullback Kadeem Jones, Mississippi tackle Emmanuel McCray, Cal Poly linebacker Johnny Millard, Florida cornerback Marcus Roberson, Nicholls State tackle Abasi Salimu, East Texas Baptist receiver Jamaine Sherman, West Texas A&M defensive tackle Ethan Westbrooks, and North Alabama linebacker Tavarius Wilson.
