The Eagles have joined the Bears on the list of teams that have started signing their 2014 draft picks.
Wide receiver Josh Huff is the first member of the Eagles draft class to agree to his four-year rookie deal. Huff was selected in the third round with the 86th overall pick.
Huff won’t have to spend much time introducing himself to coach Chip Kelly since Huff played for Kelly at Oregon before the coach moved on to the NFL. Huff isn’t as dynamic a receiver as second-round pick Jordan Matthews, but he showed solid hands and an affinity for run blocking while playing for the Ducks. If those things accompany him to the NFL, he could take some of the snaps left open by the departure of Jason Avant.
Matthews is one of six other Eagles draft picks that still need to sign their contracts.
