When you have 12 draft picks and a system conducive to quick signings of rookies, you wind up announcing a lot of signings one on top of the other.
That’s what the Jets have been doing over the last two days and the count is now up to five. The team announced that sixth-round pick IK Enemkpali has agreed to a four-year contract with the team.
Enemkpali played defensive end at Louisiana Tech, but he could play standing up as an edge rusher in the Jets’ scheme. He’s shorter and posted slower 40 times than an ideal candidate for that role and probably won’t get a chance to show he can do it unless he earns a spot on special teams first.
With Enemkpali and wide receiver Quincy Enunwa signed, the Jets have agreed to contracts with two of their four sixth-round picks.
