Redskins get deals with most of their draft class

The Redskins have another mass of rookie signings, a group far too big for one Twitter picture.

The team announced they had agreed to terms with six of their eight draft picks.

In addition to the previously mentioned Spencer Long and Lache Seastrunk, they’ve also done deals with┬ácornerback Bashaud Breeland, wide receiver Ryan Grant, tight end Ted Bolser and kicker Zach Hocker.

That leaves just two of their picks unsigned, second-rounders Trent Murphy and Morgan Moses.

God I hope Murphy plays well. Orakpo is overrated. Love the skins but we can’t mortgage our future on that injury proned dude. Too many good players we have to secure instead.

They got Moses in the third…

I hope Moses is better than this report!

Tyler Polumbus’ job is not safe following a rough 2013. Moses has starter measurables (6-foot-6 1/8, 314 pounds, 35 3/8-inch arms), but lacks fluidity and is an atrocious run blocker. Moses could need more than four months to adjust to the level of athleticism NFL pass rushers will throw his way.

The Minnesota Vikings have been a franchise for 53 years. In those 53 years, they have collected exactly… let me do the math… ZERO rings.

How can they even have a fan base?

Moses is a 3rd round pick.

It’s easy to sign guys when you draft them a round or two earlier than expected.

You look for a serious upgrade at RT not that it would take much to beat out Polumbus, however, you’d hope Moses is far better than Polumbus ever was.

His nickname at Virginia was “Mo-lasses” as in he’s slow as molasses– not just when he runs (5.35 40) but when he’s trying to decipher the playbook or count his toes.

Another in a long line of Redskins draf busts.

walterfootball had the following strengths listed for Morgan Moses:
    Excellent size
    Effective run-blocker
    Ability to sustain blocks
    Arm length
More agility than one would think
Shows some nimble movement for a big blocker
Has some quickness to the second level
Well suited for a man-blocking scheme
Ability to stay on his feet
    Has some mean streak
    Strong hands
No need to panic yet boys. čÖé
