The Browns turned over a small part of their roster on Monday, signing seven players and waiving seven others.

Of the seven signees, two have previous NFL experience: wide receiver Anthony Armstrong, whose addition PFT reported earlier Monday; and first-year running back Jourdan Brooks, who was on the Bengals’ practice squad for 10 weeks in 2012.

The Browns also added five undrafted rookies: Abilene Christian wide receiver Taylor Gabriel, Towson offensive lineman Randall Harris, Florida State defensive lineman Jacobbi McDaniel, Arizona State defensive lineman Robert Nelson and Towson tight end James Oboh.

The signings of Harris and Oboh gives the Browns three rookies from Towson. Tailback Terrance West, the star of the 2013 Towson club that made it to the FCS title game, was one of the Browns’ third-round selections earlier in May.

Armstrong, Brooks and the five rookie signees all tried out for the Browns at the club’s weekend minicamp.

In corresponding roster moves, the Browns waived running back Jamaine Cook, wide receiver Josh Cooper, offensive lineman Anthony Dima, wide receiver Tori Gurley, defensive lineman Elhadji Ndiaye, offensive lineman Michael Philipp, fullback Chris Pressley and tight end Andre Smith. Cooper had the most extensive experience with Cleveland, catching 17 passes for 166 yards in 11 regular season games over two seasons (2012-2013).
