The Jets have added a pair of veteran players who participated in the club’s weekend rookie minicamp.

The club has signed linebacker A.J. Edds and offensive lineman Markus Zusevics, the team said Monday.

In related moves, the Jets waived wide receiver Dwight Jones and offensive lineman Jacolby Ashworth.

Edds, 26, has had NFL stints with the Dolphins, Patriots and Colts. He has notched 13 career tackles in 11 regular season games, all in 2011. He was most recently with the Patriots, who waived him last August. Edds missed the 2010 and 2012 seasons because of ACL injuries.

Zusevics, 25, spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons on injured reserve with the Patriots (pectoral). New England waived him in March. Like Edds, Zusevics is an Iowa product.

Gotta feel bad for Dwight Jones. Couldve been a contributor for Houston last year but had a tragedy with his son. I really hope he makes it for another team. A guy like Jones should be getting media support, not Michael Sam and Tim Tebow… come on now.

What, the Jets are going for the all injured team?

If the Jets suck then what are the fins, oh yeah let’s go sign free agent contracts worth 200 million and finish with the same 8-8 record as the rebuilding jets, Rex may have his idiot moments but he is 10 times the coach you have,

I know it is do or die for Philbin & I STILL don’t think he’s the answer but now that Ireland is gone this team WILL be much better than prior years!!! True you got one on us at the end when the team was falling apart but we shut the junk jets down with NO TD’s in your own house, bet this year we’ll sweep ya…. BOOK IT!!! GO FINS!!!

Will be fun, I have many friends who are fins fans so the banter is always fun. Will be a tale of 2 QBs, will Geno make a much needed significant improvement and will Tannehill play well in the clutch, can’t play like he did the last 2 games with the playoffs on the line

Sounds more like an attempt for some division rival info.

O line was Tannehill’s problem!!! Tell ya one thing that for being sacked 56 times & still get up & keep playing that shows how tough the kid is!!! Now if only get that connection with his WR’s & stay upright!!! GO FINS!!!

Edds can play, injuries can slow or end a career, but if healthy look for A.J. to work as hard as anyone on the team. If he makes it he will make plays.
    GO HAWKS!

….says the fan of the team that signed and paid money to R. Incognito, biggest LOSER in the NFL. You should be embarrassed to even call yourself a dolphins fan.
