Panthers sign top-five pick — from the CFL Draft

In their ongoing quest for someone who can play offensive tackle, the Panthers have looked north of the border.

The Panthers announced they had signed gigantic Canadian tackle David Foucault, along with punter Jordan Gay.

The 6-foot-8, 320-pound Foucault was chosen fifth overall in the CFL Draft by the Montreal Alouettes. The University of Montreal product attended last weekend’s minicamp on a tryout basis, and they obviously liked what they saw.

The Panthers also released three offensive linemen: Travis Bond, Mike Jasper and Phillipkeith Manley.

Someone’s name is Phillipkeith? One word? Phillipkeith. The two worst western first names combined to make the greatest first name ever given.

I wonder if there’s some way for the CFL team to get some kind of compensation, though, or something… It feels wrong for the CFL to have their draft and a week later one of the top five picks is snagged by an NFL team, leaving the CFL team with a wasted top draft pick. It would be like Jadeveon Clowney suddenly deciding he wants to play soccer or something.

Ohhh Noooo, the sky is falling, the Panthers released three O-lineman!
The Chiefs let three go in FA, and the media can’t shut up about it. So expect to see it in every article until the season starts Panther fan.

At that size, if he has ANY coordination AT ALL, he’s an immediate upgrade over Byron Bell. Actually, even without any coordination, I’m betting he’s an upgrade.

By the picture I thought they had signed Nick Mangold’s sister the shot putter.

Stop the presses. The Panthers release three offensive linemen who were offensive…lol….and signed Nick Mangold’s sister. She would be an improvement over Byron Bell anyday and I agree also that Gettleman is a tool. The topsy turvy Panthers 2014 off season or the lack thereof.

Who did they sign? Who? Who did the release? Who? Who? Who are these guys? Geez, being a healthy Panther’s fan may be as difficult as being a healthy Panther’s QB this year.
