Panthers sign two more draft picks, halfway home

AP

The increasingly formulaic process of signing draft picks continues to pick up pace, and the Panthers are halfway through their draft class.

The team announced deals with fourth-round draft safety Tre Boston and fifth-round  cornerback Benè Benwikere. They signed sixth-rounder Tyler Gaffney over the weekend, leaving only deals with their first three picks (Kelvin Benjamin, Kony Ealy and Trai Turner).

Both Boston and Benwikere could have early roles for a Panthers secondary which wasn’t great, and was then depleted in free agency.

They also signed linebacker, Billy Boyko, who was with them on a tryout basis in rookie minicamp.
